We’re proud to share that several of our restaurants were recognized in the DFW Airport Environmental Affairs Food Waste Diversion Report for October, highlighting our ongoing efforts to reduce waste and support a more sustainable future.
The report commends participating restaurants for their contribution to diverting food waste from landfills, stating:
“Congratulations to your team for diverting this valuable resource from the landfill! Thank you for composting with DFW International Airport.”
This recognition reflects our teams ’dedication to environmental responsibility and the shared effort to make a positive impact within the airport community.
Here’s a look at the outstanding results achieved by our restaurants in October:
- Applebee’s – 848 lbs. in October; 6,601 lbs. total in 2025
- Cru Wine Bar – 515 lbs. in October; 3,206 lbs. total in 2025
- Dickey’s Barbecue Pit – 280 lbs. in October; 1,771 lbs. total in 2025
- Jimmy John’s – 1,001 lbs. diverted in October; 7,786 lbs. total in 2025
- McAlister’s Deli – 405 lbs. in October; 1,909 lbs. total in 2025
- Panda Express – 1,066 lbs. in October; 5,550 lbs. total in 2025
- Twisted Root – 1,199 lbs. in October; 10,732 lbs. total in 2025
Together, these numbers represent thousands of pounds of food waste kept out of landfills—and a collective effort to reduce our environmental footprint.
